Working in and travelling across London can be difficult at times. The London Underground Tube network really is a quite astonishing piece of engineering success. It is continually being upgraded and there are thousands of staff whose cumulative goal is to keep us all moving around London as smoothly as possible. This is particularly tricky during peak periods as the number of travellers dramatically increases and the margin for error is reduced.
TubeMaestro is a software application which is designed from the ground up to help travellers help themselves when traversing London on the Tube. TubeMaestro runs on a Microsoft Windows based computer which could be a desktop or a laptop and the Windows versions include Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.
Features of TubeMaestro include:
- Tube Refunds – Once you have added your personal detail, ticket details and typical journies to TubeMaestro you can make a claim for a refund in as few as two mouse clicks – really!! It takes about 30 seconds for TubeMaestro to send in the refund claim form for you and in due course you receive a voucher which you can then use to help pay for your next ticket. It really works and users are claiming refunds very frequently across the whole Tube network using TubeMaestro.
- Tube line status – This shows you at a glance which lines are running OK and which are not. By simply moving your mouse pointer over a line displaying a not-good-service message the reason for the problem is displayed.
- Platform departure boards – This is a really useful feature as you can choose a line and station and you can see the next three trains which are destined to arrive at the station on all platforms. The information automatically refreshes so you can monitor the trains’ progress, for example,?for the last half hour before leaving work.
- Twitter client – If there is a problem on the Tube line on which you travel, you can send a Twitter Status Update message to your followers letting them know you are likely to be delayed. You can of course send a Tweet at any time for any readon too!!
- Tube Map – If you need to plan your journey why not open the Tube Map window. This shows the most recent tube map from the TFL website.
- Useful links – This feature shows you links to other pages we think you may find useful.
- Lots of configuration options -This allows you to configure TubeMaestro to display just the Tube lines you are interested in, how TubeMaestro starts up and much more.
